I AM A WEIRDO

the thing is, there’s a lot of parts in me that i could greatly attest that is juz so weird. i think weird, i act weird, and i decide weirdly. for years i’ve been trying to act like that i am not a weirdo for fear of rejection and humiliation. lol. but at some point i realize how awesome it is to be weird since it makes me different from every stereotypical dude hanging out in this world. i believe that every little thing that we have inside, weird or not should be given a chance for the world to see and should be given a chance to be exercised. it is really tough to be different, but it makes you special. i am not sayin’ that you should try to be different to be special. all i’m saying is be the weirdo that you are, for what matters most in the end is who you are and who you become because of being yourself. bottom line is, I AM A WEIRDO.

  43. “Now he has departed from this strange world a little ahead of me. That means nothing. People like us, who believe in physics, know that the distinction between past, present, and future is only a stubbornly persistent illusion.”
  44. “You see, wire telegraph is a kind of a very, very long cat. You pull his tail in New York and his head is meowing in Los Angeles. Do you understand this? And radio operates exactly the same way: you send signals here, they receive them there. The only difference is that there is no cat.”
  45. “One had to cram all this stuff into one’s mind for the examinations, whether one liked it or not. This coercion had such a deterring effect on me that, after I had passed the final examination, I found the consideration of any scientific problems distasteful to me for an entire year.”
  46. “…one of the strongest motives that lead men to art and science is escape from everyday life with its painful crudity and hopeless dreariness, from the fetters of one’s own ever-shifting desires. A finely tempered nature longs to escape from the personal life into the world of objective perception and thought.”
  47. “He who joyfully marches to music rank and file, has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would surely suffice. This disgrace to civilization should be done away with at once. Heroism at command, how violently I hate all this, how despicable and ignoble war is; I would rather be torn to shreds than be a part of so base an action. It is my conviction that killing under the cloak of war is nothing but an act of murder.”
  48. “A human being is a part of a whole, called by us ‘universe’, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest… a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.”
  49. “Not everything that counts can be counted, and not everything that can be counted counts.”

pieces of my self

the thing is, i am still in the process of adapting the world that i am in. it’s really tough. i’m kinda scared a bit. and every little pieces that my life is right now, seems to be scattered everywhere in this whole new place and i need to find them and put them all together. i really have no idea what lies ahead. all i know is that my dreams are so alive inside of me, so alive that i can feel them, deep down under. i juz keep on praying that things will fall into place soon.

change

these past days, i juz realized more and more how change is so inevitable, and how change can happen in a split of a second, in a wink of an eye and in a single breath that we take. and on each passing day, i am able to fathom the fact that these changes are necessary in life, for they are the only means for us to meet our destiny half-way. sometimes, trying to suck it all up, is kinda laborious and kinda tough. but when you try to see the bigger picture, you will come into the realization that everything is supposed to evolve, everything is supposed not to stay in its constant terms for if ever that is the case, we will never learn, we will never grow and life will never be justified.

days from now, some major changes are about to happen and i can’t explain what exactly i am feeling. it’s surreal knowing that every single thing won’t ever be the same again. but i am not even complaining. i am juz, u know, kinda overwhelmed. i am leaving a world that’s been greatly a part of who i am today and that’s not easy. but deep inside, i know to my self that i need to do this. my mind may be fearful, but my heart tells me to take some extra steps towards the fulfillment of my dreams. so here i am today, counting the days to forever. counting the days to achieve that moment of no return.

one thing is for sure, from all of this surreal things that are about to happen, that God is juz right up there and that He will always be my guide, my wisdom and my strength. sometimes i fail to recognize that and lean to my own understanding. but day by day, i am able to fall back into the presence of our loving God and constantly let Him show me the way. thank u for everything that you have done to me Lord. i love you today and forever.

goodbyes

it really hurts knowing that u need to say goodbye to the people u care so much and to the people who mean a lot to u. still, it’s a part of life and the only way to justify that goodbye is to actually say hello to new beginnings. though i have said goodbye to u my friend, forever, those memories will be remembered. i hope to see u again someday.
